The year is 2342.
After decades of peace, the Federation is on the verge of war. Worse yet, this war could be
fought on three fronts. A potential disaster looms for the largest, strongest and most peaceful union in the known galaxy.
Their allies of nearly fifty years, the Klingon Empire, buoyed by their alliance with the Romulan Star Empire, crave
the expansion and conquest of their glory days of nearly one-hundred-years past.
The Tholian Assembly, intensely territorial
beings, see the ongoing expansion of the Federation as a mortal threat to their borders. They have begun targeted strikes
and Starfleet fears the worse has yet to come.
An elusive, brutal race is also making itself better known. The Cardassian
Union has expanded to the edge of the Federation frontier and seems determined to go further.
These are difficult
times and they call for bold, disciplined leaders. In medieval times on Earth a special sort of knight, the Paladin, carried
out a metaphorically comparable duty: the Paladin was a hero of sterling character and courage, who righted wrongs and defended
the weak and oppressed.
To address these threats, to fly the flag along our borders and to ensure that the character
of the Federation and its Starfleet - an alliance of peaceful peoples united by thier desire for non-violent exploration -
was known to these aggressors; the Federation Council authorized the creation of our organization.

Greetings, I am Cmdr. Stephanopoulos, Commanding Officer of the USS Alliance, which is Assigned to the Ramatis III Fleet
and Repair Yards, a large facility with Ten Drydocks each capable of housing up to Ambassador Class Starships. But we are
not all drydocks. We are also a Regula Class Starbase, which is my base of Operations. This Simm takes place in the Year 2342,
during the lost era of Trek which spans from Star Trek 6, to the first Season of the Next Generation. This simm take
